This conservative institution’s articles of association state that it was founded to “institutionalize balanced, durable, and religious families based on Islamic teachings,” to “help the independence of seminaries through popular participation and donations,” and to “help women grow to protect family values.” Despite its focus on women’s issues, there is only one woman, Khadijeh Neyzari, among its nine board members. Habibollah Bourbour is one of the founding members.
